About Anoro Ellipta

Anoro Ellipta is a long-acting bronchodilator prescribed as a maintenance treatment for those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD. Inhaling this medicine allows it to act directly in the lungs where it is needed most. It also reduces the potential for side effects in other parts of the body, as the amount absorbed into the blood through the lungs is lower than taking pills that have to get through your system first before they can act.

The active ingredients in Anoro Ellipta are Umeclidinium and Vilanterol. Umeclidinium is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist or LAMA that relaxes the airways in your lungs and Vilanterol is a long-acting beta antagonist or LABA that will help to dilate the muscles around your airways. Together, these actions relieve the bronchospasms and allow you to breathe more effortlessly.

Anoro Ellipta Precautions and Proper Use

Anoro Ellipta is for use only in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and should not be used to treat asthma. Anoro Ellipta will not work fast enough to treat a sudden bronchospasm attack so always have a rescue inhaler with you for fast acting relief. Keep all medication out of children’s reach and never share any meds with anyone else.
