Before Atelvia is Prescribed to You

Atelvia Precautions and Proper Use

Do not lay down for at least 30 minutes after taking Atelvia as this could cause an irritation in your esophagus, heartburn, or other gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow Atelvia whole with a glass of water after breakfast. Due to this being a delayed release medication, if you break, split, or chew the tablet, too much of the active ingredient will be released quicker than intended and could cause adverse effects.
