Bricanyl Description

If you are experiencing breathing difficulties, coughing, and wheezing from asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), your doctor may recommend a prescription for Bricanyl, a bronchodilator drug. When Bricanyl is taken daily as directed, your asthma attacks may be prevented for the most part. If you have a sudden asthma attack, you should always keep a rescue or fast-acting inhaler with you to regain normal airway function quickly. How Bricanyl Helps with Asthma and COPD Symptoms

Bricanyl contains Terbutaline Sulphate, a beta agonist that interacts with beta-2 receptors on the surface of muscle cells in order to relax the smooth muscle cells in your bronchial tubes. This action allows your airways to dilate and improve air flow to restore normal breathing. You should provide your doctor with a complete medical history before using Bricanyl, especially if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or low blood potassium level. Bricanyl Precautions

Inform your doctor if you are using or taking other Rx medicine or non-prescription drugs for asthma or COPD before you start Bricanyl. This medication should not be taken with beta-blocker drugs. Make sure that your doctor is aware of all medications you are taking; including herbal remedies and vitamin supplements to be sure you will not experience any negative interactions. All medications should be stored where children cannot access them.

• Headache
• Shakiness or trembling in your legs, feet, or hands
• Nausea
