Blocking COX Enzymes Reduces Production of Inflammatory Substances

Once taken as directed, Naprosyn will work to inhibit the action of 2 enzymes called cyclooxygenase (COX) 1 and 2. COX-1 acts as a cellular housekeeper which involves maintaining the lining of your stomach while COX-2 works in response to your immune system when it detects a threat or injury by producing prostaglandins, a substance that causes inflammation. By blocking this action, Naprosyn will decrease your pain and inflammation. Naprosyn is not a cure for arthritis, but it can provide you with some comfort and pain relief.

Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of arthritis that affects your spine and can lead to vertebrae in your back fusing together, causing the appearance of a hunched-forward posture. Before You are Prescribed Naprosyn

Naprosyn Precautions
